Chiron
Centaur, wounded healer
outsider, not of asteroidal kin
but from alien cuckoo flotsam,
an icy cometary nucleus
of silicate dust, organic residue frozen water and gases
coming out of the galactic wastes
to settle in its asymmetric solar orbit
ticking off each potent birthing moment in passing;
finding stray refuges, having a say
somewhere between Saturn and Uranus.
Sometimes with order in mind,
otherwise, wild and innovative.
Main focus,
the journey of and to Self
in an holistic and alchemical way.
Immortal, man-horse creature
resonant with wilful autonomy
and the focus of repair:
lame, not tamed
in the long-term mission
to find wholeness and integrity
out of shameless broken parts,
slung betwixt fortune and outrage;
idiosyncratic in style and intent.
Knower of youthful rejection,
tutor of gods, wise father of herbs
healer of all but himself.
Shot down by a chance misfortune,
only able to end his pain by relinquishing his undying;
in a notorious hostage exchange
that upgraded him to a posthumous star - in constellation Centaurus.
