Stop it! she Said
That’s enough!
going on and on and ON ad inf:
yakking, arguing, worriting, agitating, stressing and struggling.
Aren’t you tired of it all, can’t you see it’s getting nowhere
but round and giddily round
like an unstoppable whirlpool
- a plug, a bottomless drain,
for heavens sake!
Its becoming a psychotic affliction,
a mechanical habit, an obsession.
Get it! she said -
rather than continuous blah blah about it:
what it is, or isn’t, why, who said;
it’s meaning, sources, trajectory, context, purpose
as well as usage, costs;
in the larger scale of things
- or nano.
It’s all extraneous, irrelevant,
just a blurry noise, she said.
STOPIT!
