Once per Life

What’s the worry?
Once per life, however long or short!
Only once.

Does it matter?
And if it did, does that change anything?
Could you, I or anyone
alter, put off or undo it one jot?

Sooner or later
on and of its own
whether welcome or not
It will manifest, when it will;
most probably out of the blue,
behind one’s back, like a thief in the dark
Oops!
It’s upon us, each one, by one
slow or sweet.

Something so sure, absolute in certainty,
inarguable.
Little to do with prognosis or prophesy
algorithm or statistic.

A one-off incomparable moment.
To die.
