ELEPHANTS and PEACOCKS

Magical, in wet west Wales,

amidst indigenous farming folk, 

 with bee-keeping b&bs for pilgrims: 

living the life of temple pujas

- cymbals, flutes and trumpets 

with Tambura and Tabla drums

where sari-clad mums with kids in wellies

wheel barrows of rice and beans

along the hilly lanes 

while Ellies, antelope and dexter cattle graze

above lush allotments tended near the valley’s Samadhi Hospice: 

a good place to come to, 

a good place for anyone to die

with a hand to hold

as the blessed guru said.
