POST-MORTALITY

Grave goings-on,

whether that be robbers

or via charity shops:

where out-grown proceeds of

material mammon:

the left-over trinkets and treasures

 feed recycling economies

with circular welfare principles

of neutralizing and balancing

social extremities;

the necessary vulture   obligate scavenger, 

toxin-proof and eco-tidy

with its kindred Kinds

-whether maggot or mammal.

The natural elements of earth processes make fire

that erase, re-mix, regenerate

and the hominid evolved to borrow it:

make pyres for physicality to

sacredly symbolize;

to find warmth, to cook and enlighten, illumine -

eventually to make metal and machine,

ultimately to clear the decks, destroy…

..reducing earth to holy Earth.

 Nuclear fission and eternal gold, 

irreducible, inviolate.
