TOTHE WONDER OF FOOLS

Are we stupid enough to think Fools

as just tricksters, jokers,

daring folk who play with risk

and are unafraid of danger?

Unthinking, helpless people

who who are experts at Loss

and undoing!

Who don’t do what WE do

nor follow the expected norms

 - of being safe, obsessed with security,

anxious about opinion and status,

greedy for all sorts of material gain

or unable to compete or climb social ladders.

Whatalot! 

the ballast for our majority, top-heavy cleverness;

our top-down folly.

 Happy dwellers in Chaos

and Paradox  -

not to laugh at or ostracize

but to allow and humbly celebrate.
