IN THRALL

So, we survive by compromise,

by accepting what we didn’t ought

whether individually or collectively:

the false promises - with conditions

some so long, generational

that we totally discount, overlook

the inevitable price.

And then we find,

in that seeming trusty collusion -

the long-term debt 

with exponential interest and consequences, is taken for granted

and insidiously forgotten; 

our political and personal naivete

comes home to roost.

Negotiation works with discernment only - and integrity;

what judging is about -

the underlying motives & intentions.

Those that can observe and listen

are Libra’s holy destiny:

the initiates of wisdom, peace.

Talk about status and control

is sheer connivance, war-mongering - the terror-stricken, childish ego’s

 last-ditch grab for straw.

They thought was Sovereignty.
