THE DAYS OF DEMAGOGUES

Nothin new, the old hat of history

at best, coming full circle,

at least repeating, known.

Justice no more a shining standard,

nor democracy a fuzzy dream.

The overriding, underpinning ethos

is the ancient ideal of gold:

the -pre-edenic story, renamed -

called the Economy, survivalism, 

the arms and crypto-trade,

nicely neutral: 

the price of and tariffs for -

the auguries of blockchain;

To turn the wondrous, wilful Man to machined automation & obedience.

Slavery, holocausts no more;

we’ve evolved and learned how not: telling the primordial Lie.
